Rating: - Pleasing coffee machine
We bought this for Xmas, very pleased with the looks, and quality taste of the coffee, we use beans from Cafe Nero which we visit on a weekly basis. Had some teething problems, machine seemed to leak from obscure places but that has now stopped. the only other negative is that when you turn off the coffee dispenser switch whilst waiting for the frother to heat up, coffee keeps dripping from the filter, not a major issue but I agree with another review comment, there does seem some quality control ... I was delighted to get one of these last Christmas, and found that as well as looking good, this machine makes very nice coffee indeed. However, after a few weeks it started to leak, so back it went to the shop (it wasn't bought from Amazon) for a replacement. The replacement smelled of new plastic, which I didn't think was a problem, until the coffee started to taste of plastic - and the taste got worse and worse over a month or so. When making up our wedding list, my wife and I felt that a good coffee machine was essential to a happy and long marriage, so we opted for a gaggia cubika. Unfortunately, the cubika felt really cheap and badly put together when we got it out of the box, so it went straight back in. I was looking for a reasonable espresso machine with milk frother for making lattes/cappuchinos at home. I work in a coffee shop and know what good coffee tastes like. I did buy a cheaper machine but it was terrible so it went back. I am very impressed with this machine, you get a lovely crema on your espresso, just like the proffesional machines, and the milk frother works splendidly, gives a very nice firm froth that lasts.

I am very impressed with this coffee maker. The coffee is exceptional the machine looks good, too.
It is important that proper ground espresso coffee is used if you want the best results. I have used mine for about three months and have made coffee on an almost daily basis. It's quick and if you're really pressed for time use the ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) sachets (I got a packet of 18 free inside the box with the machine, worth about £4,50).
