Rating:  - Really Dreadful Toaster
This machine takes forever to make very bad toast. The bread is dried to staleness and (on the very lengthy settings) slightly browned. The only thing I can compare it to is horrible american hotel toast, but it's even worse than that.
It's obviously a gross design flaw -- the thing is ridiculously underpowered. The element barely glows. Kenwood must have gone out of their mind to pollute their brand with this rubbish. Don't they test? Is there no-one with a "Toast Taste Test" job title? ... Read More

I bought one of these toasters locally as they where reduced to half price, my old toaster was needing retiring as it was burning even on the lowest settings,
The Kenwood was the best toaster I could buy for my money. First couple of days with there being a few buttons on the front I could not get my toast to brown,, then I realised, those buttons,, one was for defrosting, the other was for reheat, the key to getting perfect toast from your Kenwood is just put the dial to the setting ... Rating: - Great look, shame about the toast
We bought this for our new house because my boyfriend loved the look of it.
After almost six months it still looks great but the toast is still (and seems to be getting even more) shockingly bad.
We no longer have crumpets as the middle doesn't seem to defrost and the more we use the toaster the more times you seem to need to retoast everything.
DON'T BUY unless your looking for a kitchen ornament.

Kenwood is one of those names I remember when I was growing up as the epitome of expensive, high quality kitchen equipment. If you could stretch to a Kenwood it'd be fine... Quality will out..... which is pretty much why we bought this toaster. Looks the part, 4 slice capacity, setting for frozen bread.
It's rubbish. It just doesn't make good toast. It doesn't like thick-sliced bread at all; it won't stay down to toast. It's so underpowered, it dries the bread out long before it toasts ... Read More
