Having already bought a product similar to the Vegetable Grid Chopper last year and was disappointed in that,I must admit that I was sceptical but I really would love a gadget that will julienne carrots, not a lot to ask you may say,but very difficult to find.This one is no better than the last one I bought, it will chop onions a treat, but carrots defeat it,it bent the blades and I had hand chopped the carrot into chunks of about 1" before putting into the chopper one chunk at a time. This is a great piece of kit - Cuts all types of vegetables into equal pieces. Some veg, such as onions need cutting into smaller slices before putting on the grid as it's quite hard to push down otherwise. Tomatoes can end up a bit squashed, as the metal grid isn't razor sharp.
This aside, I wouldn't be without my veg grid chopper - 10 big mushrooms can be chopped up in less than 30 seconds, and carrots, swede, onions, cucumber, potatoes etc, are easily cut up too. You won't be disappointed!!
