Rating:  - Phillips kettle
This is a great asset to our kitchen. Light to lift, easy fill and water level always visible.
Ok its not the fastest to boil, but it is good to have.
Rating:  - Superior kettle with one annoying drawback
Having read other reviewers comments before ordering, I foolish ignored complaints about the water level indicator being difficult to read because it is tinted.
They were right, it is difficult to read! This is a pity especially when the product is promoted as "Energy Efficient" and one of the plus factors in this respect is that the indicator is marked in litres and cups, making it easy to boil only the amount of water required!

Rating: - Boils water great... :D
Like so many other reviews that got burnt...by purchasing a Kenwood kettle. I needed to move on from the trauma of the limescale filter falling apart after a year and not being able to purchase a replacement. So I wanted a kettle that was not stainless steel...could boil quickly and looked nice in the kitchen. Voila! At under £20 this is a great buy!
Rating: - Philips energy saving Kettle
This kettle is an excellent product. The energy efficient feature is very useful, and it means that not only do you save energy, the kettle boils very quickly too. It is easy to fill, pours well, and the fill indicator is easy to see. All in all this is a very good buy.
Rating: - Almost as good as my 15 year old kettle
I bought this to replace a 15 year old Russell Hobbs Millennium kettle. The Millennium kettle lasted 15 years so it was a very good kettle. I was quite surpised to find the Philips kettle was not quite up to the standard of the Millennium.
The thing that disappoints me the most is the water level indicator being so hard to read on the Philips. Are Philips designers stupid? Why did they have to colour the indicator making it so hard to see what the water level is?
